Wireless Activation Device (WAD) 2.3
Description
The Wireless Activation Device (WAD) 2.3 is a high-altitude airdrop release system component that serves as the primary means of deploying main parachute systems at predetermined altitudes. It monitors descent via barometer during high-velocity stages and retracts a mechanical pin to deploy parachutes for payloads ranging from 500-2,200 lbs. Designed for Electronic Warfare contested environments, it enables high-altitude aerial resupply with moderate accuracy while minimizing wind drift and protecting air and ground personnel.
