Description
FlySmart II (FlySmart-FBW23) is an Aviotech project demonstrating a fully automated flight control capability for fixed-wing aircraft. The system completed a fully automatically controlled mission on a Diamond DA42 on 2015-09-18, including automatic take-off, automatic cruise along a 4D trajectory, and automatic landing with rollout and braking. Flight testing focused on validating AutoTakeOff, AutoCruise and AutoLand and has progressed to a final evaluation phase.
