Description
The Heavy 1 is Edison Aerospace's first full-scale electric unmanned agricultural spray aircraft designed to replace traditional turbine and piston aircraft. It features an 8-motor electric propulsion system with props mounted on the leading edge of the wing for improved efficiency and lift. With a 40-foot wingspan and 3,000 lb MTOW, it can carry 200 gallons of liquid or 1,600 lbs of dry payload. The aircraft offers STOL performance with a 300-foot take-off run, operates at 90 knots, and provides 1 hour endurance. It operates with a Ground Control Station that serves as a mobile hangar, cockpit, and supercharger.
