The TRT800A is a Class 1 Mode S transponder in a 160mm flat housing designed for general aviation applications from ultralights to motor aircraft. It features a four-line OLED display showing active and standby codes, operating mode, flight level, and status. The device supports Mode A/C and Mode S operations including Extended Squitter functionality, with ADS-B capability pending certification. It includes an integrated altitude encoder up to 35,000 ft that requires no warm-up time, reducing installation costs and weight. The transponder is fully remote-controllable via the separate TRT800RT control unit and includes configurable power-saving modes with storage for 8 different aircraft configuration datasets.
