The Starling 2 is an NDAA-compliant development drone designed for indoor SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) applications. It features a VOXL 2 companion computer with Qualcomm QRB5165 chipset, triple AR0144 fisheye CV image sensors for visual inertial odometry, a 12MP IMX412 color image sensor, and PMD ToF sensor for obstacle avoidance. With a 280g takeoff weight and 220mm diagonal airframe, it offers over 40 minutes of flight time and supports advanced autonomy features including visual obstacle avoidance, 3D mapping, path planning, and neural network inference.
