Cognitive UAV

Air Drones (UAV/UAS)

Description

A conceptual/experimental fixed-wing UAV platform demonstrating cognitive swarm control and in-flight tip-to-tip docking for distributed cellular ISR. Designed for long-endurance, high-altitude missions (demonstrated loiter target: 60,000 ft for 15 days), runway takeoff from small general aviation fields, and carrying an assumed distributed payload of ~250 lb with ~1.5 kW total power consumption across the cellular aircraft.
