Description
The Air Scout® is a tandem ducted fan VTOL UAS designed as an organic asset for small ground combat units for reconnaissance, surveillance, target acquisition (RSTA), combat resupply, and other missions. It's a scaled-down version of PiAC's Air Geep ducted fan vehicle developed for the Army. The system features up to 140 lbs useful load capacity, multiple units can be coupled for increased payload, and it's designed for field maintainability with open access planform and Line Replaceable Unit component design. The Air Scout® has an autonomous flight control system for take-off, waypoint navigation, and landing, with hand-held tablet control and collision avoidance sensor options available.
