Description

ARES is an innovative modular multi-mission vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) unmanned tilt-wing aerial system (UAS) comprising a common optionally manned Flight Module with interchangeable Mission Payload Modules. Designed with a small landing footprint for shipboard and expeditionary operations, it provides embedded multi-mission C4I, ISR, combat, and logistics support to small distributed combat forces operating over extended distances and complex terrain. The modular design addresses affordability challenges by enabling rapid reconfiguration of mission payload modules to reduce logistics footprint and cost.
