Description
EAGELS (Expendable Airlift Glider Expeditionary Logistics System) is a DARPA-sponsored SBIR Phase II program developing a low-cost unmanned glider aircraft for rapid supply delivery to distributed ground units. The system features a detachable motor that returns to launch point with a parafoil while the aircraft glides into contested areas to deliver payloads. It aims to provide logistics support at significantly lower cost than manned helicopters for military, civil, humanitarian, and disaster relief missions.
