KlearPath

Software (GCS/Autonomy/Mapping)

Description

KlearPath is an autonomous collision avoidance, landing zone selection, and navigation system developed for unmanned aerial systems. It was created under the Army's Combat Medic UAV Program for rapid delivery of time-critical medical supplies and recovery of wounded personnel. The system uses LADAR-based technology to enable fully autonomous obstacle detection and avoidance, landing zone assessment and selection, and navigation in challenging environments. It has been demonstrated on both unmanned systems and full-scale man-rated rotorcraft, including applications for sea-based rotary wing aircraft operating in degraded visual environments.
